SUPPORT YOUR ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM

The endocannabinoid system was only discovered at the molecular level in the 1990s. In the human brain (and also in many other organs of the body) there are so-called CB1 and CB2 receptors that bind endocannabinoids and phytocannabinoids and thus have a regulating influence on synaptic connections and thus have a direct influence on the conduction and perception of pain.

There are endogenous endocannabinoids (e.g. anandamide) that are synthesised by healthy people themselves. In sick people, it is assumed that this endogenous synthesis is out of balance. The administration of phytocannabinoids can help these people.

This has been scientifically proven in thousands of studies in various medical fields.

Phytocannabinoids are substances such as cannabidiol (CBD) and the psychoactive tetra-hydro-cannabinol (THC), as they are found in hemp (cannabis sativa). Without knowing the molecular basis, cannabis has been used as a therapeutic agent since about 1830 in Europe and hemp is probably one of the oldest cultivated plants in the history of mankind.

TIP: Check out the recordings of my current hemp webinar (only available in german) Here you will learn a lot about the endocannabinoid system, possible applications of hemp products and quality characteristics of cannabidiol (CBD)

Please send an E-Mail to show your interest in an english webinar on that topic.

WHY HAVE YOU NEVER HEARD ABOUT THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM?

There are probably two reasons for this. In conventional medicine, phytocannabinoids have received little attention and probably the endocannabinoid system has never been explained to you as a patient. It is taught in medical schools, but synthetic cannabinoids are only prescribed for a few conditions. The prescription of these substances by a doctor is only allowed for very few indications and only then is it paid for by the health insurance providers.

The second reason is more profound and probably had a worldwide effect. It is assumed that in the first half of the 20th century, targeted lobbying (pharmaceutical, paper, cotton, synthetic fibre and steel industries) led to widespread defamation campaigns, especially in the USA . As a result, hemp disappeared from the medical field for a long time. But even commercial hemp, with its many ecological benefits, was taxed so heavily that cultivation was no longer financially profitable.

This ban has been relaxed in recent years to the extent that hemp oils that contain no or only very little (< 0.2 %) psychoactive THC can now be sold freely in the EU. Interestingly, the WHO has been recommending the use of CBD in the medical field since November 2017.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS FROM THESE LEGAL CHANGES?

I recommend CBD to my patients as a supportive method for chronic diseases. The phytocannabinoids can improve the symptomatology. This allows my patients to become more relaxed and receptive to mental methods. The products I use do not contain any psychoactive THC. This means that my patients can participate in road traffic, for example, without any restrictions, and it is also suitable for children.

I USE CBD IN 3 DIFFERENT FORMULATIONS:

One is in the form of a vaporizer, which vaporises the CBD oil and thus ensures a high absorption via the lungs. This can be used especially for pain peaks or chronic processes in the respiratory tract. Of course, there is no nicotine, other tobacco-like or harmful substances in this vaporizer.

The second formulation is a biologically produced, toxin-tested CBD oil, with a combination of over 100 different natural cannabinoids from hemp, which serves to support and build up our body's own endocannabinoid system in the long term via oral administration.

The third formulation is an CBD-containing balm, which can be used in a variety of ways, has a pain-relieving effect on the skin and also brings very good results in the case of skin irritations of any kind.

The administration of specific micronutrients can also have a supporting effect. For many chronic diseases, it has been shown that the administration of individual substances (such as vitamin D, omega3, magnesium or vitamin B2) is effective and can contribute to symptom improvement in the long term.

Patients with chronic diseases often take a variety of different medications. Besides the side effects described on the package leaflet, this can also lead to a specific micronutrient deficiency. Either because some micronutrients can be absorbed less, or because the medication increases the micronutrient demands.

An example is pantoprazole or omeprazole. This is a proton pump inhibitor that is often prescribed as stomach protection with painkilling medications. This medication leads to a reduced absorption of vitamin B12 with corresponding long-term deficiency symptoms, such as anaemia and neurological deficits.

One of many other examples is the birth control pill, which also has an effect on the absorption of micronutrients.

These drug-induced specific micronutrient deficiencies can be replenished and thus long-term deficiency states can be avoided.

Nutrition and Life Counseling

BECAUSE YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT!

How can you support your body in the healing process? How have you eaten in the past? How much fast food and processed food is in your life? How much time do you take to prepare and eat your food?

An acid-base balance is important for a functioning immune system. In order for our cells to function properly, our body needs a minimum of vitamins, minerals and trace elements (micronutrients). If necessary, I will put together an individual nutrition programme for you that can be easily integrated into your everyday life.

Do you take care of yourself? Do you get enough exercise? What do you do about stress at work or in the family?

Using elements from mind-body medicine, I will show you ways to meet your personal challenges more freely and easily. In this way, you can bring your body, mind and soul back into harmony.
